Guangong figure, one of the many Chinese  protector deities, extremely detailed carving, Qing dynasty, approximately 190-240 years old, Much of the original Polychrome still exists, dimensions 13”x6”x 5”

Guandi (also known as Guan Yu or Guangong), was a Han Dynasty (202 BCE–220 CE) general who was captured and beheaded. He was posthumously deified as Guandi and has been celebrated for his loyalty, but from about the sixteenth century on has also been considered the God of Literature, the God of War, and the patron of merchants.
